Refugees

In the Al Bader Healing Center we support women and children who are victims of the Syrian War. We produce 3D printed artificial limbs for amputees, as well as physical and psychological rehabilitation.

We are raising funds for a social innovation lab at the center. With equipment such as 3D scanners and printers, the lab will be a space for treating trauma through interactive, creative expression. We also hope to strengthen the children’s self-reliance by enabling them to develop solutions for problems they face in everyday life. The lab will provide informal STEAM (Story, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math) education for refugee children who are left out of the formal schooling system – a challenge facing an estimated 80,000 Syrian children in Jordan.
